Executive Committee
The Executive Committee manages the day-to-day running of the constituency party. They meet once a month after the branches have had their meeting to both ratify (approve or rule out of order) motions from branch level as well as to put forward any recommendations or motions to GC on CLP level organising such as campaigning. After which the members then report to General Committee
The current roles of the Executive Committee are:
Chair
Leads the local party, heads up meetings and has the final say on all the big decisions.
Secretary
The organised figurehead of the local party who makes sure everything gets done.
Treasurer
Takes charge of the CLP’s finances and makes sure everything is above board.
Vice-chair Campaigns
Vice Chair: Fills in when the Chair isn’t available and helps the other officers make sure everything gets done.
Campaigns: Leads on the planning and delivery of all kinds of constituency-based campaigning.
Trade Union Officer
Works to help coordinate the CLP with Local Trade Unions.
Womens Officer
Represents women members and makes sure the local party engages with women voters.
BAME Officer
Represents BAME members and makes sure the local party engages with Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority voters.
Campaigns Co-ordinator
Works to promote and develop campaigning activities within the CLP.
Youth Co-ordinator
Represents young members and makes sure the local party engages with young voters.
Disability Officer
Represents disabled members and makes sure the local party engages with disabled voters.
LGBT+ Co-ordinator
Represents LGBT members and makes sure the local party engages with LGBT voters.
IT/Digital Co-ordinator
Make sure that the website and social media are up to date and support infrastructure IT issues
Fundraising and Events Co-ordinator
Organises fundraising and events within the CLP.
